Greek Gothic Symphonic Metal
About
Atreus is a Greek Gothic Symphonic Metal band from Athens, Greece — a sonic convergence of ancient Hellenic mythology, Byzantine darkness, and orchestral metal grandeur. Born from the ruins of Olympus, their music channels the tragedy and fury of the gods themselves.
Their sound is cinematic and operatic, layering classical soprano, crushing guitar work, Byzantine chant influences, and walls of pipe organ into a singular, immersive experience. Each performance is theater. Each album is myth made sound.
With their debut album The Wrath of Olympus, Atreus announces themselves as one of the most distinctive voices in modern European metal — rooted in antiquity, reaching toward the infinite.
